In our state of the art 4,500 sq ft shop ScifiMetropolis has production capabilities designed to accommodate the collectors market. We offer a complete array of services including pressurized resin casting, clear resin casting, vacuum-forming services and CNC machining of plastics as well as alloys. We also utilize extensive in house 3D modeling capabilities enabling us to ensure the highest possible quality from a projects inception through completion.

We have a Shop Sabre 4' x 8' CNC Plasma cutting machine capable of cutting up to 3/4" mild steel. We can cut steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, ect.

All of our master patterns and tooling are CNC machined on our Shop Sabre 4896 CNC milling machine. The table has a 4ft x 8ft work area with a 12” z-axis. It uses a 220volt, 3hp Colombo Spindle with a variable frequency drive.

All of our in house laser cutting is done on our Universal Laser Systems 50 watt laser table. It has a work area of 24" x 18" and is used mainly for laser cutting acrylics and laser engraving.

Our Cad/Cam packages allow us to easily reverse engineer projects with incredible detail.

Thermo-forming capabilities include a Bel-O-Vac Thermo former with a 63” x 63” forming area and a 32” depth of draw. We can easily form ABS, Acrylic, PETG, Styrene, Sintra and PVC materials up to 3/8” thick.

Resin casting capabilities include a custom 30 gallon vacuum chamber for de-gassing both resins and silicone, ensuring perfect bubble free castings. We also have a custom built 250 gallon pressure tank for casting large parts in 2 piece closed molds. This gives us the unique ability to cast very large parts without having to worry about surface imperfections or air bubbles being trapped in the undercut areas of the mold being used.

In addition we also offer in house rotational casting, utilizing the Machine Designs MD400 roto-casting machine. This unit gives us the ability to utilize molds up to 54" in diameter and 66" in height with a weight of 400lbs. Needless to say, that's a very large mold!

While at this time we are focusing on our licensed products, we are also doing commissioned projects for other companies. We also use a digitizing probe to reverse engineer projects for other customers.
